Hugh Russell

Hugh is a full time professional life coach and spiritual director with formal training from Coach U, the largest and most recognized life coach training school in the world. Prior to founding Project-Transform, Hugh has had a diverse work experience that enables him to provide a wide perspective to his client’s needs.

His previous positions include:

Director of Process Improvement
Director of Information Systems
Restaurant owner and operator in New Orleans
Contract manager for the University of New Orleans
Planner for the Gulf Regional Planning Commission
Technical Director for the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center
Medicaid Consultant

Hugh’s formal education includes receiving a B.A. in Political Economy from Tulane University, completing the coursework for a Masters in Urban and Regional Development, and completing graduate level courses in Psychology. He has also undergone training in crisis intervention, project management, CMMI process improvement, Education for Ministry from University of the South and Life Coaching from Coach U.

Volunteer Activities

Hugh has undergone extensive volunteer training from several types of organizations, including Hospice Care, Rape Crisis Center, Food Bank, Downtown Outreach Center, and Habitat for Humanity. His volunteer work has prepared him for coaching by allowing him to assist a diverse set of individuals overcome a variety of problems. The training conducted by the organizations provided Hugh with a formal methodology for helping others. The 200 hours of training provided by the crisis intervention center was particularly relevant as it covered active listening, responsible thinking, and communicating.
